Synopsis – What to Expect from “Incendiary”
Incendiary is a 2008 British drama film directed by Sharon Maguire and written by Mark Mills. The film stars Michelle Williams, Ewan McGregor, Matthew Macfadyen, and Nicholas Gleaves.
The film follows a young mother, Tessa (Williams), whose life is torn apart when her four-year-old son and husband are killed in a terrorist attack at a soccer match. As she struggles to cope with her grief, she embarks on a journey of revenge, seeking out those responsible for the attack.
The film opens with Tessa and her family attending the soccer match. After the attack, Tessa is left devastated and in shock. She is questioned by the police but is unable to provide any information. She soon begins to investigate the attack and discovers that it was carried out by a radical Islamic group.
Tessa visits the home of the man she believes is responsible for the attack, and confronts him. He denies any involvement and Tessa realizes that she has been misled. She then visits an old friend of her husband’s who reveals that the attack was actually planned by a rogue faction of the British government.
Tessa is determined to bring the perpetrators to justice and begins to work with an investigative journalist to uncover the truth. As she gets closer to the truth, she discovers that her husband was actually part of the plot and was killed to keep him quiet.
