Synopsis/Plot
Imperium is a gripping crime thriller about an FBI agent who goes undercover to take down a white supremacist terrorist group. Agent Nate Foster (Daniel Radcliffe) is a young, idealistic analyst who is assigned to infiltrate a dangerous extremist group and uncover their plans to build a dirty bomb. With the help of a veteran agent (Toni Collette), Nate must go deep undercover and assume the identity of a white supremacist in order to gain the trust of the group’s leader (Tracy Letts).
Nate quickly finds himself in over his head as he struggles to maintain his cover while infiltrating the group’s inner circle. As he begins to understand the group’s ideology and their plans, he finds himself torn between his loyalty to the FBI and his growing empathy for the group’s members. With time running out, Nate must decide how far he is willing to go in order to stop the group from carrying out their deadly mission.
Imperium is a tense and thrilling film that examines the complex issues of extremism and terrorism in a thought-provoking and powerful way. With excellent performances from the cast and a strong script, it is an engaging and entertaining film that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
