Synopsis/Plot
I’ll Be Home for Christmas is a 1998 American Christmas comedy film directed by Arlene Sanford and starring Jonathan Taylor Thomas, Jessica Biel, Adam LaVorgna, Gary Cole, and Eve Gordon.
The movie follows Jake Wilkinson, a college student who is determined to make it home for Christmas and surprise his family. When his parents offer him a Porsche if he makes it home by 6:00 pm on Christmas Eve, Jake decides to take a shortcut across the country. Along the way, he runs into a variety of characters, including a motorcycle gang, an old flame, and a hitchhiker.
As Jake’s journey continues, he discovers that he has more to learn about himself and his family than he ever thought possible. With the help of his newfound friends, Jake is able to overcome the obstacles that stand in his way and make it home in time for Christmas.
