If These Walls Could Talk 2 is a 2000 American television drama film directed by Jane Anderson and starring Vanessa Redgrave, Sharon Stone, Michelle Williams, and Chloë Sevigny. The film follows three separate stories of lesbian couples in different time periods.
The first story takes place in the 1950s and follows Edith (Redgrave) and Abby (Stone), a married couple living in a small town. Edith works as a nurse while Abby is a housewife. Both women are deeply in love, but Edith is struggling with her own sexuality, and is afraid to tell Abby the truth. After Edith confides in her best friend, she finds the courage to come out to Abby, who lovingly accepts her. Despite the support from Abby, Edith is met with hatred and bigotry from the townspeople, and the couple is forced to move away.
The second story takes place in the 1970s and follows Linda (Williams) and Amy (Sevigny), two college students living in a dorm. Despite their strong bond, Linda is uncomfortable with her own sexuality and is afraid to come out to Amy. After Linda finally reveals her truth to Amy, the couple faces ridicule from their peers and is forced to keep their relationship a secret.
