Synopsis/Plot
Ice Castles is a romantic drama film directed by Donald Wrye and released in 1978. The film stars Robby Benson and Lynn-Holly Johnson in the lead roles.
The story follows Alexis Winston, a young figure skater who has a promising future in the sport. She is talented and determined, and is driven to succeed. However, her dreams are put on hold when she suffers a tragic accident which leaves her blind.
Devastated by the news, Alexis feels like her life is over. However, with the help of her supportive family and her coach, she slowly learns to adjust to her new life. With her newfound courage, she decides to get back on the ice and compete in the Ice Castle competition.
Throughout the film, Alexis struggles to overcome her disability and prove to herself and everyone else that she can still be a champion. She faces many challenges along the way, but ultimately finds the strength to keep going and fight for her dreams.
