Synopsis – What to Expect from “Human Nature”
Human Nature is a 2001 American comedy-drama film written and directed by Michel Gondry.
The film follows the story of Lila Jute (Patricia Arquette), a woman who is struggling to make sense of her life. She is a scientist studying the behavior of animals, and her research leads her to believe that humans are just like animals, only with more complex behaviors.
Lila meets Nathan Bronfman (Tim Robbins), a man who is living in the wilderness, away from society. Nathan believes that humans should live in harmony with nature, and that by embracing their animalistic nature, they will be able to live a more fulfilling life.
The two fall in love and Nathan teaches Lila about the beauty of nature and the importance of living in harmony with it. However, Lila’s research and Nathan’s beliefs soon come into conflict when Lila’s research suggests that humans are actually more like animals than they think.
The film follows Lila and Nathan as they struggle to reconcile their different views on life and nature. As their relationship grows, they must both learn to accept each other’s differences and find a way to live in harmony.
The film is a lighthearted and humorous look at the complexities of life and the importance of living in harmony with nature. It is a thoughtful and thought-provoking look at the human condition and how we can learn to live in balance with the world around us.
