Method 3: Delete Cache & Other Temporary Files

iPhone Users

Unlike Android systems, specifically removing stored files and cache on iOS systems isn’t that simple. To delete cache & temp files, you can either Offload Hulu or uninstall and reinstall Hulu. We suggest doing the latter. Following are the troubleshooting steps:

  • Unlock the iPhone and locate Hulu.
  • Tap and hold or long press on the app until the iPhone vibrates.
  • A menu bar with options with a drop-down will appear. Choose Delete App.
  • Select Delete.

That will delete Hulu and its cache & other temp files from your iPhone.

  • In order to reinstall Hulu, open the App Store.

  • Navigate to History.
  • Select Clear browsing data.
  • Hover over “Cached images and files” and “Cookies and site data” and turn on the toggles.
  • Tap on Clear data.

Method 4: Disconnect Your VPN

At times, the VPN your device is connected to can slow down your internet connection. The content will load slower or not load at all. Thus, disconnect the VPN and reconnect back using a different server.

  • Run the VPN app.
  • Tap on Disconnect.
  • To reconnect back in, you can either select Quick Connect or select a specific location.

FAQs

Why do I keep getting Hulu error 96?

An unstable, slow, and laggy internet can cause network error 96 on Hulu. That’s probably why you’re getting bombarded with a Hulu network error.

Run a speed test to check the status of your net connection. It’s the most effective bet. Go to fast.com and check your internet connection’s download speed and upload speed.

If that doesn’t do the trick, consider uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Rebooting your device also helps.

Why is deleting the cache needed for Hulu to work properly?
