Synopsis – What to Expect from “Howling IV: The Original Nightmare”
Howling IV: The Original Nightmare is a 1988 horror film directed by John Hough. It is the fourth installment in The Howling series, and is a direct sequel to the first film in the franchise.
The film follows the story of a young woman named Karen White (Barbara Kellerman) who is still haunted by the events of the first Howling film. She has been living in a mental institution since the events of the first film, and is now released and sent to a small town in the countryside of England to recuperate.
Once in the town, Karen begins to experience strange occurrences and is unable to explain them. She soon discovers that the town is actually home to a werewolf cult and that the townspeople are all werewolves. Karen is then taken captive by the werewolves and finds herself in the middle of a battle between the werewolves and a group of vampire hunters.
Karen soon realizes that the werewolves are actually trying to bring back an ancient werewolf god, and that she must stop them before it is too late. With the help of the vampire hunters, Karen must battle her way through the werewolves and their minions in order to save the town and herself.
The film is full of suspense, horror, and action as Karen fights to survive and save the town from the werewolves. In the end, she will have to face her own inner demons in order to succeed.
