Synopsis – What to Expect from “Howling III: The Marsupials”
Howling III: The Marsupials is a 1987 horror film directed by Philippe Mora. The movie follows the story of a young journalist, Jerboa (Imogen Annesley), who is sent to a small Australian town to investigate a mysterious series of deaths.
The deaths are soon revealed to be caused by a strange breed of marsupial werewolves, known as “The Howlers”. These creatures are the result of a bizarre experiment by a local scientist, Dr. Harry Beckmeyer (Max Phipps), who has been trying to create a hybrid species of man and animal.
As Jerboa investigates further, she discovers that the Howlers are not only killing people in the town, but they are also abducting women to serve as their mates. Meanwhile, the local police are unable to cope with the situation and have enlisted the help of a group of hunters to try and capture the Howlers.
The hunters are led by a mysterious figure named “The Tracker” (Barry Otto), who has his own agenda and is determined to rid the town of the Howlers once and for all. As the situation becomes more and more desperate, Jerboa must find a way to stop the Howlers and save the town.
