Synopsis/Plot
How I Live Now is a 2013 British-American drama film directed by Kevin Macdonald and adapted from the novel of the same name by Meg Rosoff. The film follows Daisy (Saoirse Ronan), a troubled American teenager sent to England to live with her cousins for the summer. Initially, Daisy is resentful of her new environment and her family. However, when a nuclear war breaks out, Daisy and her cousins must fight for survival in a world that has been thrown into chaos.
The film follows Daisy as she adapts to her new life in England and her relationship with her cousins. Her cousin Edmond (George MacKay) is initially hostile to her, but they eventually form a strong bond. When the war breaks out, Daisy and her cousins are separated and she is forced to make her way alone. Along the way, she encounters a variety of characters, including a mysterious soldier (Tom Holland) who helps her survive.
