Synopsis/Plot
House of 1000 Corpses is a 2003 horror film written, co-scored and directed by Rob Zombie. The film follows four young adults who set out on a road trip to find the grave of a legendary serial killer known as Dr. Satan. Along the way, they encounter a strange family of violent and sadistic hillbillies who have been terrorizing the local area for decades.
The four travelers, Jerry, Bill, Mary and Denise, soon find themselves held captive by the family, who are led by the maniacal Dr. Satan worshipper, Captain Spaulding. The group is subjected to a variety of tortures, including being buried alive and being hung upside down in a barn. As the night progresses, the group learns of the family’s dark secrets and the truth behind Dr. Satan’s grave.
