Synopsis/Plot
Hot Summer Nights is a coming-of-age drama set in Cape Cod during the summer of 1991. The film follows Daniel, a teenage loner who has recently moved to town. He falls for the beautiful and mysterious local girl, McKayla, and gets caught up in her dangerous world of drugs and crime. As their relationship develops, Daniel drifts further away from his family and his old life. He is soon in over his head, and is forced to make difficult decisions that could have serious consequences.
The film is directed by Elijah Bynum and stars Timothée Chalamet, Maika Monroe, Alex Roe, Maia Mitchell, and William Fichtner. It follows Daniel’s journey from an awkward outsider to a confident young man as he navigates the murky waters of life in a small town.
