Synopsis – What to Expect from “Hoop Dreams”
Hoop Dreams is a sports drama set in the year 2022, following the story of two teenage boys from Chicago’s South Side. William Gates and Arthur Agee are two young African American boys with an immense passion for basketball. They are both given the opportunity to attend a prestigious prep school on a full athletic scholarship, and are quickly thrust into the world of competitive basketball.
The boys soon find themselves struggling to keep up with the rigorous demands of their new school and their competitive teammates. William and Arthur must work hard to stay focused on their dreams of becoming successful basketball players, while also dealing with the pressures of family, academics, and the ever-changing landscape of the game.
