Synopsis/Plot
Home Alone 3 is a 1997 American family comedy film directed by Raja Gosnell. It is the third installment in the Home Alone series and the first film in the series to not star Macaulay Culkin. Instead, the film stars Alex D. Linz as Alex Pruitt, a nine-year-old boy who is accidentally left home alone after his family takes a wrong turn on the way to Florida for Christmas vacation.
When four international criminals, led by the notorious Peter Beaupre (played by French actor Jean Reno), hide a stolen computer chip in Alex’s toy car, the young boy must use his ingenuity to protect his home and thwart the criminals’ plan. With the help of his trusty pet mouse, Doris, Alex sets up an array of booby traps to keep the criminals out.
Meanwhile, Alex’s family is desperately trying to get back home and reunite with their son. Along the way, they encounter a number of obstacles, including a blizzard, a broken-down car, and a group of bumbling police officers.
