Synopsis – What to Expect from “Holy Man”
Holy Man is a 1998 comedy starring Eddie Murphy and Jeff Goldblum.
The movie follows Ricky Hayman (Eddie Murphy), a fast-talking salesman who is down on his luck. He has been fired from his job and is desperate for money. He finds himself in a peculiar situation when he is hired by a spiritual guru named G. (Jeff Goldblum) to help him promote his new television show. G. is the host of a spiritual show and Ricky is tasked with helping him promote it.
Ricky is initially skeptical of G.’s spiritual beliefs, but soon finds himself drawn into the world of spirituality. He begins to believe in G.’s teachings and is inspired to lead a more meaningful life. He also begins to realize the potential of G.’s show and begins to promote it vigorously.
Ricky’s enthusiasm and hard work pay off and G.’s show quickly becomes a hit. But the success of the show attracts the attention of a ruthless media mogul (Robert Loggia) who wants to buy the show and exploit it for his own gain. To protect G.’s show, Ricky must use all his skills and cunning to outwit the media mogul.
Meanwhile, Ricky falls in love with a beautiful woman (Kelly Preston) who shares his beliefs in spirituality. With her help, Ricky is able to find the strength to protect G.’s show and find true happiness.
