Synopsis/Plot
His House is an intense and gripping horror-drama film that follows the story of a young refugee couple, Bol (Sope Dirisu) and Rial (Wunmi Mosaku), who arrive in England after a harrowing journey across the Mediterranean. Upon their arrival, they are granted asylum but are placed in a dilapidated house in a working-class neighborhood. While Bol is eager to start a new life, Rial is haunted by the trauma of their past and the spirits that followed them from their homeland. As they try to adjust to their new surroundings, they soon discover that the house hides a dark and sinister secret that threatens to tear them apart.
The film is directed by Remi Weekes and written by Felicity Evans and Toby Venables. It stars Sope Dirisu and Wunmi Mosaku as Bol and Rial, and Matt Smith as Mark, their social worker. The film follows the couple as they struggle to adjust to their new life in England, while also dealing with the supernatural forces that seem to haunt the house.
