Synopsis/Plot
His Girl Friday is a classic screwball comedy from 1940 directed by Howard Hawks. It stars Cary Grant and Rosalind Russell as a former married couple and newspaper editors, Walter Burns and Hildy Johnson. When Walter learns that Hildy is engaged to another man and is leaving journalism to become a housewife, he concocts a plan to keep her in the newspaper business.
