Synopsis – What to Expect from “Here We Are: Notes for Living on Planet Earth”
Here We Are: Notes for Living on Planet Earth is a 2020 animated film directed by Gail Lerner and illustrated by Oliver Jeffers. It is a story about a seven-year-old boy named Owen, who is trying to make sense of the world around him.
The film begins with a brief introduction of the Earth and its inhabitants. Owen is seen playing with his toy spaceship and dreaming of exploring the universe. His parents explain to him the importance of respecting the planet and taking care of it.
Owen then embarks on a journey of discovery, meeting a series of characters along the way. He meets a scientist who explains the science behind the planet, a beekeeper who teaches him about the importance of pollinators, an astronaut who takes him on a virtual tour of the universe, and a farmer who shows him the importance of sustainable farming.
At the end of his journey, Owen learns the importance of living in harmony with the planet. He also discovers the power of kindness and compassion, and how it can change the world.
The film ends with a message of hope for the future, as Owen and his family look to the stars, knowing that there are infinite possibilities for the future of our planet.
