Synopsis – What to Expect from “Herbie Goes to Monte Carlo”
Herbie Goes to Monte Carlo is a classic Disney movie released in 1977. The movie follows the adventures of Herbie, a Volkswagen Beetle with a mind of its own.
The movie begins with Herbie and his owner Jim Douglas (Dean Jones) driving through France on their way to Monte Carlo. Along the way, they meet a woman named Diane Darcy (Julie Sommars) who is also headed to Monte Carlo. Jim and Diane soon become friends and decide to team up for the race.
Meanwhile, a pair of thieves, Alonzo and Bruno (Charles Martin Smith and Don Knotts), are also headed to Monte Carlo in order to steal a priceless diamond. Alonzo and Bruno spot Herbie and decide to use him to help them in their mission.
The thieves kidnap Herbie and take him to Monte Carlo, where they plan to use him to steal the diamond. Jim and Diane eventually catch up and try to rescue Herbie. During the race, Herbie outsmarts the thieves and helps Jim and Diane win the race. In the end, the thieves are arrested and Herbie is reunited with Jim and Diane.
The movie ends with Jim and Diane deciding to keep Herbie and use him for future races. Herbie Goes to Monte Carlo is a classic Disney comedy filled with plenty of laughs and excitement.
