Synopsis – What to Expect from “Her Alibi”
Her Alibi is a romantic comedy released in 1989 starring Tom Selleck and Paulina Porizkova. The movie follows the story of Phil Blackwood (Selleck), a successful mystery novelist who is struggling with writer’s block.
In desperation, Phil hires a woman named Nina (Porizkova) to pretend to be his wife in order to provide him with an alibi for a mysterious event he is trying to cover up. The two quickly become close as Phil discovers that Nina is not only a talented actress, but also a kind and caring person.
The two develop a strong relationship, but things become complicated when Phil discovers that Nina is actually a wanted criminal and he is now implicated in her crimes. With the police closing in, Phil and Nina must find a way to clear their names and prove their innocence.
The two must use all of their wits and charm to outsmart the police and the criminals chasing them, while maintaining their relationship and staying one step ahead of the law. Along the way, Phil and Nina discover that they have a lot more in common than they initially thought and must learn to trust each other in order to survive.
The movie culminates in a thrilling climax as Phil and Nina come face to face with the criminals who are after them and must rely on each other to make it out alive. In the end, Phil and Nina must decide whether to stay together or part ways after their adventure.
