Synopsis/Plot
Hell or High Water is a 2016 American neo-Western crime drama film directed by David Mackenzie and written by Taylor Sheridan. Set in West Texas, the story follows two brothers, Toby and Tanner Howard, who are on a desperate mission to save their family’s ranch from foreclosure. Toby is a divorced father who is determined to provide a better life for his two sons, while Tanner is an ex-convict with a violent past.
The brothers embark on a daring bank-robbing spree, hoping to raise enough money to pay off the debt. However, they soon find themselves pursued by two Texas Rangers, Marcus Hamilton and Alberto Parker, who are determined to put an end to the brothers’ criminal activities. As the brothers race against time, they must also confront their own personal demons in order to survive.
