Synopsis/Plot
Heartbreakers is a 2001 romantic comedy starring Sigourney Weaver, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Gene Hackman, and Ray Liotta. The movie follows Max and Page Conners (Weaver and Hewitt), a mother-daughter duo of con artists who specialize in seducing wealthy men and taking their money. After their latest victim, William B. Tensy (Hackman), is left penniless, the Conners set their sights on an even bigger target—wealthy tobacco tycoon Dean Cumanno (Liotta).
The Conners devise an elaborate plan to seduce Dean and get him to sign a prenuptial agreement before he finds out the truth about them. But things get complicated when Max and Page both fall for Dean and he begins to suspect something is up. As they fight for Dean’s affections, the Conners must also contend with the vengeful Tensy who is determined to get his money back.
Heartbreakers is a lighthearted comedy with plenty of laughs and a few unexpected twists. Weaver and Hewitt are both charming and funny as the scheming mother-daughter duo, while Hackman and Liotta bring a touch of gravitas to the proceedings. The movie is an entertaining
