Synopsis – What to Expect from “Hannie Caulder”
Hannie Caulder is a 1971 western starring Raquel Welch, Robert Culp, and Ernest Borgnine. The movie follows the story of Hannie Caulder (Raquel Welch), a young woman whose husband has been murdered by three outlaws. Seeking revenge, she hires a bounty hunter, Thomas Price (Robert Culp), to help her track down and kill the men responsible.
The movie begins with Hannie and her husband, Frank (Christopher Lee), living a peaceful life on their ranch in the Wild West. One day, three outlaws, led by the vicious Emmett (Ernest Borgnine), ride into town and attack the couple. Frank is killed and Hannie is left with a deep desire for revenge. She sets out to find a bounty hunter to help her track down the men responsible for her husband’s death.
Thomas Price is a bounty hunter who is reluctantly persuaded by Hannie to help her with her mission. Along the way, they are joined by a mysterious gunslinger named The Preacher (Strother Martin). The trio soon finds themselves in a dangerous situation as they confront the outlaws and face off against the lawless townsfolk.
As the movie progresses, Hannie discovers that her quest for revenge is more complicated than she originally thought. She must confront her own inner demons and make difficult decisions if she is to achieve her goal. In the end, Hannie must decide if she will take revenge
