Halloween II is a 1981 American slasher film directed by Rick Rosenthal and written by John Carpenter and Debra Hill. It is the sequel to the 1978 film Halloween and stars Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode, who is pursued by Michael Myers, the Shape, while Dr. Sam Loomis (Donald Pleasence) tries to hunt him down.
The film begins with a recap of the events of the first movie, with Michael Myers killing his older sister Judith on Halloween night in 1963. Fifteen years later, Laurie Strode is being treated at a hospital in Haddonfield, Illinois after surviving her encounter with Michael. Meanwhile, Michael is still on the loose, and Dr. Sam Loomis is determined to find and stop him.
The movie follows Laurie as she attempts to recover from her ordeal, while Michael continues to stalk her. As the night progresses, Michael kills a number of people and eventually finds his way to the hospital. In a dramatic climax, Laurie and Dr. Loomis confront Michael in the hospital, and Laurie manages to set him on fire.
