Synopsis/Plot
Grumpier Old Men is a 1995 romantic comedy starring Jack Lemmon, Walter Matthau, and Ann-Margret. It is a sequel to the 1993 film Grumpy Old Men.
The film follows the two elderly bachelors, John Gustafson (Lemmon) and Max Goldman (Matthau), as they continue to compete for the affections of the beautiful and feisty Ariel Truax (Ann-Margret). When a wealthy businessman named John J. Burger (Kevin Pollak) moves into town and begins to court Ariel, the two old men set aside their rivalry and join forces to sabotage his plans.
The film is set in the small town of Wabasha, Minnesota, and is filled with the usual comedic antics of the two old men. The film also features a number of other characters, including Ariel’s daughter Melanie (Sophia Loren), John’s son Jacob (Daryl Hannah), and Max’s daughter-in-law Maria (Kathy Najimy).
