Synopsis/Plot
Greedy is a 1994 American comedy film directed by Jonathan Lynn and written by Lowell Ganz and Babaloo Mandel. The film stars Michael J. Fox, Kirk Douglas, Nancy Travis, Ed Begley Jr., Phil Hartman, Colleen Camp, and Olivia d’Abo.
The film follows the story of a wealthy, conniving family who are all out to get a piece of the pie when the family patriarch, John Klump (Kirk Douglas) announces that he will be giving away his massive fortune to his relatives. The family consists of John’s son, Danny (Michael J. Fox), his daughter-in-law, Margaret (Nancy Travis), his grandson, Drew (Ed Begley Jr.), his niece, Gloria (Colleen Camp), and his nephew, Frank (Phil Hartman).
The family is thrown into chaos when John announces that he will be giving away his fortune to the family member who can prove that they are the most greedy. The family members all come up with outrageous schemes to prove their greed, but it’s up to Danny to save the day and prove that he is the greediest of them all.
