Synopsis – What to Expect from “Good Sam”
Good Sam is a romantic comedy about a cynical TV news reporter, Sam (Tiya Sircar), who is sent to cover a story about a mysterious Good Samaritan, who has been leaving large amounts of money on random doorsteps. Despite her initial skepticism, Sam is intrigued by the story and soon starts to uncover the identity of the mysterious benefactor.
When Sam meets the man behind the money, she discovers that he is a doctor, Tom (Sean Kleier), who is trying to pay off his late father’s medical bills. Sam and Tom soon become close, and Sam’s cynical outlook on life begins to soften. With the help of her co-workers, Sam discovers that the money is being given to people in need, and she begins to understand the power of kindness and generosity.
However, Tom’s life is soon thrown into chaos when he discovers that his father’s medical bills were actually paid off by a wealthy benefactor. Tom is left wondering why he was chosen to receive the money, and he begins to doubt the sincerity of his newfound happiness.
Meanwhile, Sam is struggling to find her place in the world. She is torn between her career and her desire to help people, and she must decide if she is willing to give up her cynical outlook on life in order to help those in need.
In the end, Sam and Tom discover the power of kindness and generosity, and they learn to embrace the good in life.
