Synopsis/Plot
God’s Not Dead: We The People is a 2020 Christian drama film directed by Michael Mason and written by Howard Klausner. The film is a sequel to the 2014 film God’s Not Dead and follows the story of a group of college students who come together to fight for their First Amendment rights after their professor tries to force them to disavow their Christian faith.
The film follows a group of college students at a prestigious university, who are all part of a Christian student organization. When their professor tries to force them to disavow their Christian faith, the students band together to fight for their First Amendment rights. Led by Josh Wheaton (Shane Harper), they enlist the help of a renowned civil rights attorney, David Hill (Ted McGinley), to help them in their fight.
The students soon find themselves up against powerful forces, including the university’s president (Gary Grubbs), the professor (Dean Cain), and a powerful state senator (John Corbett). As the students fight for their rights, they also learn about the importance of standing up for what they believe in and the power of faith.
