Synopsis – What to Expect from “G.I. Blues”
G.I. Blues is a 1960 American musical comedy film starring Elvis Presley. It tells the story of Tulsa McLean (Presley), a G.I. stationed in Germany who has promised his sweetheart back home that he will save enough money to open a club together. Tulsa and his buddy, Dynamite (Robert Ivers), join forces with a nightclub singer, Lili (Juliet Prowse), to win a bet with a rival G.I., Ace (James Douglas). The bet is to win the heart of a beautiful cabaret dancer, Tina (Lili Kardell).
Tulsa and his friends set out to win the bet and make enough money to open the club. Along the way, they run into many obstacles, including a jealous cab driver, a suspicious club owner, and a shady businessman. As Tulsa and his friends try to win the bet and save the day, they also find themselves in the middle of a rivalry between two rival G.I.s.
The film follows Tulsa and his friends as they battle their way through the various obstacles and ultimately come out on top. Along the way, they learn important lessons about friendship, love, and loyalty. In the end, Tulsa and his friends are able to open their club and live happily ever after.
