Synopsis – What to Expect from “Getaway”
Getaway is an action-packed thrill ride that follows former race car driver Brent Magna (Ethan Hawke) as he desperately attempts to save his kidnapped wife, Leanne (Rebecca Budig). After receiving a mysterious phone call from the kidnapper, Brent is instructed to steal a Shelby Cobra from a parking garage and then follow a series of instructions in order to save his wife.
As Brent races through the city, he is pursued by the police and a relentless hitman. With the help of a young hacker, (Selena Gomez) Brent is able to outwit his pursuers and follow the kidnapper’s instructions. Along the way, Brent discovers that the kidnapper is actually a powerful crime lord who is using him to settle a score.
With time running out, Brent must evade the police and the hitman, while also finding a way to rescue his wife. As he races to the finish line, Brent discovers that the stakes are much higher than he ever imagined. In the end, Brent must use all of his skill and cunning to save his wife and escape the clutches of the powerful crime lord.
