Synopsis/Plot
Get Rich or Die Tryin’ is a 2005 American crime drama film starring 50 Cent, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Joy Bryant, and Terrence Howard. Directed by Jim Sheridan, the movie tells the story of Marcus, a young man from the streets of New York City who strives to make it big in the rap game.
The movie begins with Marcus, played by 50 Cent, as a young boy living in a rough part of the Bronx. His mother is a drug addict and his father is absent, leaving Marcus to fend for himself. After his mother is shot and killed, Marcus turns to drug dealing to support himself. After a successful stint as a drug dealer, Marcus decides to pursue his dream of becoming a successful rapper. With the help of his mentor, Bama, Marcus begins to make a name for himself in the rap industry.
Despite his success, Marcus is still haunted by his past and is forced to confront the consequences of his actions. After a violent altercation with a rival drug dealer, Marcus is sent to prison, where he is forced to confront the harsh realities of life behind bars. After being released from prison, Marcus is determined to make it big
