Synopsis – What to Expect from “Get a Job”
Get a Job follows the story of Will Davis (Miles Teller) and Jillian Stewart (Anna Kendrick), two recent college graduates who are eager to join the corporate world. Will is a brilliant, ambitious young man who has been offered a job at a prestigious investment firm, while Jillian has been hired by a high-end fashion magazine.
At first, the two are excited about their respective careers, but they soon realize that the corporate world isn’t as glamorous as they had imagined. Will’s boss is a demanding and often unreasonable tyrant, while Jillian is constantly being micro-managed by her editor. Both Will and Jillian begin to feel overwhelmed by the pressure of their jobs and eventually find themselves feeling lost and uncertain about their future.
Things take a turn for the worse when Will and Jillian are both laid off from their jobs without warning. With no other options, the two decide to take on a series of odd jobs to make ends meet. From working as a dog walker to selling used books, they quickly discover that the real world is far from the glamorous life they had envisioned.
As Will and Jillian struggle to make ends meet, they also begin to realize the importance of friendship and support. With the help of their close friends, they find the courage to start their own business and take control of their lives. Through their shared experiences, they discover that they are stronger together than they ever were apart.
