Synopsis/Plot
Geostorm is a 2017 science fiction disaster film directed by Dean Devlin and starring Gerard Butler, Jim Sturgess, Abbie Cornish, Alexandra Maria Lara, and Ed Harris. The film follows a satellite designer who must work together with his estranged brother to save the world from a storm of epic proportions caused by malfunctioning climate-controlling satellites.
After a series of natural disasters, the world’s governments have come together to create a global network of satellites to control the climate and keep everyone safe. Jake Lawson (Gerard Butler) is the lead designer of the program, dubbed “Dutch Boy”. But when the system starts to malfunction and cause extreme weather conditions, Jake is called back in to save the day.
