Synopsis – What to Expect from “Gallipoli”

The two friends, who are both sprinters, enlist in the AIF and are sent to the Middle East to fight in the Gallipoli campaign. After a grueling journey, the two arrive in Egypt and are sent to the front. There, they experience the horrors of war firsthand, as they witness the death of their fellow soldiers.
The two friends become determined to survive the war and make it back home. However, the war takes its toll on them both, and they are forced to confront their own mortality. As the war drags on, the two men become increasingly disillusioned and desperate for a way out.
Eventually, Archy and Frank come up with a plan to escape the war and return to Australia. However, their plan is foiled and they are captured by the Turks. The two men are then taken to a Turkish prison camp, where they are subjected to harsh treatment.
The two men eventually manage to escape the camp and make their way back to Australia. However, their experiences in the war have changed them forever, and they struggle to come to terms with the horrors they have seen.
