Synopsis – What to Expect from “F/X”
F/X is a 1986 American action-thriller film directed by Robert Mandel and starring Bryan Brown and Brian Dennehy.
The film follows Rollie Tyler (Bryan Brown), a special effects expert who is hired by the government to stage a fake assassination for a witness protection program. After the successful mission, Rollie is asked to do one more job, this time involving a real hitman. Rollie soon finds himself in a dangerous situation as he discovers that the hitman is working for a powerful mob boss who wants him dead.
Rollie must use all of his special effects skills to stay alive and protect the witness. With the help of his friend Leo McCarthy (Brian Dennehy), he sets up a series of intricate stunts and tricks to outwit the mob boss and his henchmen. In the end, Rollie must use his wits and his special effects expertise to save the witness and himself.
