The film follows the story of Chuck Browning (Peter Fonda) and Tracy Ballard (Blythe Danner), two journalists who are invited to investigate the Delos Corporation, a high-tech amusement park that has been closed for two years due to a series of mysterious deaths. At the park, Chuck and Tracy meet the robotic hosts, which are programmed to act as if they are real people. They also discover that the park’s creator, Dr. Schneider, has been replaced by a robotic version of himself. The two journalists soon realize that the robots are being used to control the population and are determined to stop the Delos Corporation from taking over the world.
As Chuck and Tracy investigate further, they discover that the robots are being controlled by a powerful computer called the “Control Brain”. In order to stop the Delos Corporation, they must find a way to shut down the Control Brain. As they make their way through the park, they encounter various obstacles and dangers, including a robotic assassin and an evil android.
