Synopsis/Plot
Funny Face is a musical comedy film released in 1957, starring Fred Astaire and Audrey Hepburn. The film follows the story of a shy, intellectual bookseller in Greenwich Village, Jo Stockton (Hepburn), who is discovered by a fashion photographer, Dick Avery (Astaire). Dick is looking for a new face to promote a new clothing line, and he believes Jo is perfect for the job.
Jo is initially hesitant to pursue a career in modeling, but she eventually agrees to travel to Paris with Dick and his team for a photo shoot. Along the way, Jo and Dick fall in love, and their relationship blossoms as they explore the city of Paris.
The film features many classic musical numbers, including “Bonjour Paris,” “Think Pink,” and “How Long Has This Been Going On?” The film also features many iconic fashion moments, as Jo models the latest designs of Givenchy, Balmain, and Dior.
