Synopsis/Plot
Frozen II is a 2019 American 3D computer-animated musical fantasy film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios. The sequel to the 2013 film Frozen, it features the return of directors Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, producer Peter Del Vecho, songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, and composer Christophe Beck.
The film follows Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, Olaf, and Sven as they leave Arendelle and venture into the unknown to discover the origin of Elsa’s magical powers and save their kingdom. Along the way, they are joined by a new character, a young Northuldra girl named Honeymaren, and her brother Ryder, who help them along their journey.
The film isfilled with new songs, including the Academy Award-winning single “Into the Unknown”, as well as a new original song “Show Yourself”, written by Anderson-Lopez and Lopez. The story is inspired by the Norse myths and legends of the Sami people, and features an ensemble voice cast including Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell, Jonathan Groff, Josh Gad, Sterling K. Brown, and Evan Rachel Wood.
