Synopsis – What to Expect from “Friends with Money”
Friends with Money is a 2006 American comedy-drama film written and directed by Nicole Holofcener. The film follows four close friends who are all in different stages of their lives and careers. Olivia (Jennifer Aniston) is a former teacher who now works as a maid and is the only one of the four who is single. Christine (Catherine Keener) is a successful fashion designer who is married to a wealthy man and is the mother of two children. Franny (Joan Cusack) is a stay-at-home mother struggling to keep her marriage together. Jane (Frances McDormand) is a recently retired schoolteacher who has just won the lottery.
The film follows the four friends as they navigate their lives and relationships. Olivia is struggling to find her place in the world and deals with her feelings of loneliness and isolation. Christine is dealing with the pressures of being married to a wealthy man and trying to keep her marriage together.
