Synopsis/Plot
Frenemies is a Disney Channel Original Movie released in 2012. It follows the story of two best friends, Halley and Avalon, who are complete opposites. Halley is a straight-laced, serious student who is focused on getting into a good college, while Avalon is a free-spirited artist who loves to have fun. Despite their differences, the two have been inseparable since childhood.
When Halley’s family moves away to a new town, the two girls stay in touch through video chats. When Halley returns for a visit, she discovers that Avalon has become popular at school and is now part of the “in” crowd. Halley is jealous and starts to compete with her friend for the attention of their mutual crush, Jake.
The two girls soon start sabotaging each other’s plans in order to gain the upper hand. They also start to compete in a school talent show, where Halley uses her knowledge of science to create a robotic dance performance.
As the rivalry between the two intensifies, they start to realize that their friendship is more important than their petty squabbles. In the end, they come to terms with their differences and make
