Synopsis – What to Expect from “French Kiss”
French Kiss is a romantic comedy-drama film released in 1995, starring Meg Ryan and Kevin Kline. The story follows a woman named Kate (Meg Ryan), who is a conservative and uptight American woman living in Los Angeles. When her fiancé Charlie (Timothy Hutton) tells her that he is moving to Paris for a job opportunity, she is devastated. In a desperate attempt to win him back, she impulsively decides to follow him to Paris.
Once in Paris, Kate meets Luc Teyssier (Kevin Kline), a charming and handsome French thief. Luc is a con artist who is trying to steal a valuable necklace from a wealthy Frenchwoman. He offers to help Kate find her fiancé if she helps him with his plan.
Kate reluctantly agrees, and the two of them set out on an adventure as they search for Charlie in the city of love. Along the way, Kate and Luc slowly begin to fall for each other, despite their differences. As they travel through Paris, they experience the beauty of the city and the joys of love.
Eventually, Kate finds out that Charlie has been cheating on her the entire time. Disheartened, she turns to Luc for comfort, and the two of them finally admit their feelings for each other. In the end, Kate and Luc find true love and happiness together.
