Synopsis – What to Expect from “Frank”
Frank is a darkly comedic drama about an eccentric musician, Frank (Michael Fassbender), who leads an avant-garde rock band. Frank’s unique and unconventional style of music has made him an underground sensation, but he is also a recluse who rarely leaves his home.
Jon (Domhnall Gleeson), an aspiring musician and songwriter, is invited to join Frank’s band. At first, Jon is overwhelmed and intimidated by the eccentric personalities of the other band members, but he soon finds himself drawn to their wild lifestyle and music.
The band, which consists of Frank, Jon, Clara (Maggie Gyllenhaal), Don (Scoot McNairy), and Baraque (Francois Civil), embarks on a strange journey to a remote cabin in the Irish countryside to record an album. The creative process is chaotic and often humorous, as the band members push each other to their limits.
The music they create is unlike anything anyone has ever heard before, and soon they become an internet sensation. Despite their newfound success, Frank’s mental health begins to deteriorate and he becomes increasingly paranoid and unpredictable.
The band’s journey is a rollercoaster ride of emotions, as they struggle to keep their sanity and stay true to their music. Along the way, they must learn to accept each other’s flaws and find a way to make it work. In the end, they discover that the music they create
