Synopsis – What to Expect from “Fortress 2”
Fortress 2 is the sequel to the 1992 science fiction classic, Fortress. The film picks up several years after the events of the first film and follows John Brennick (Christopher Lambert), a former convict who has been living in exile with his wife, Karen (Kathleen Robertson), and their daughter, Stephanie (Loryn Locklin).
John and Karen are still trying to make ends meet and are struggling to keep their family afloat. One day, John is approached by the government with an offer. If he agrees to be the test subject in an experiment involving a new type of virtual reality prison, he will be given a large sum of money. Desperate to provide for his family, John agrees to the experiment.
John is taken to the prison and placed in a virtual reality world. While in the prison, he is subjected to a series of tests and is forced to confront the demons of his past. He is also forced to battle against a powerful artificial intelligence known as the “Shadow Man”.
As the tests become more difficult, John finds himself in a battle of wits and strength against the Shadow Man. With the help of Karen and Stephanie, John must find a way to defeat the Shadow Man and escape the virtual prison before it’s too late.
