Synopsis/Plot
For Your Eyes Only is a 1981 British spy film, the twelfth entry in the James Bond series and the fifth to star Roger Moore as the fictional MI6 agent James Bond. It marked the directorial debut of John Glen. The film’s title is taken from the Ian Fleming short story “For Your Eyes Only”, although the story does not appear in the film.
The plot of the film centers around Bond’s mission to locate a missile command system and the revenge of the family of a slain British spy. Bond is aided by a Greek spy, Melina Havelock, and a British spy, Bill Tanner, in his mission.
The film begins with Bond being sent to the Mediterranean Sea to investigate the theft of an encryption device, a ATAC, from a British spy vessel. After a brief skirmish with a helicopter, Bond is sent to Spain to locate the device. There, Bond meets Melina Havelock, a Greek spy, who is seeking revenge for the death of her parents, killed by the villainous Kristatos. Bond and Melina team up to locate the ATAC, which is being held by Kristatos in his mountain hideout.
