Synopsis – What to Expect from “Flowers in the Attic”
Flowers in the Attic tells the story of four young siblings, Chris, Cathy, Carrie, and Cory, who are sent to live with their grandmother in her large, isolated mansion after their father passes away. The children’s mother, Corrine, is desperate to reclaim her family’s fortune and agrees to her mother’s plan to hide the children in the attic for a few months.
The children initially believe that their stay in the attic is only temporary, but soon discover that their grandmother is determined to keep them hidden away and away from the public eye. The four are kept in the attic for years and are treated poorly by their grandmother, who threatens to keep them in the attic forever.
The children eventually form a strong bond with one another, and Chris and Cathy develop a romantic relationship. As time passes, the children become increasingly rebellious and determined to escape their grandmother’s clutches.
When Corrine finally returns to the mansion, she is horrified to discover what her mother has done to her children. Corrine and the children must now find a way to escape the mansion and reclaim their freedom.
Flowers in the Attic is a dark drama that explores the strength of family bonds and the power of love in the face of adversity. It is a story of courage, resilience, and hope in the face of overwhelming odds.
