Synopsis – What to Expect from “Flirting with Forty”
Flirting with Forty is a romantic drama about Jackie Laurens (Heather Locklear), a recently divorced, 40-year-old mother of two who takes a vacation alone to Hawaii where, against her better judgment, she meets and hooks up with a much younger resident surfer, Kyle Hamilton (Robert Buckley).
The two begin a passionate love affair, and Jackie soon finds herself in a situation she never expected to be in: falling in love with a man half her age. Despite the disapproval of her friends and family, Jackie continues to see Kyle and discovers that age is just a number.
Jackie’s ex-husband (Cameron Bancroft) and her children (Vanessa Lengies and Sam Duke) are not happy about her relationship with Kyle, and her ex-husband tries to use her relationship with Kyle to get custody of their children.
Meanwhile, Jackie is struggling to balance her newfound relationship with Kyle and her responsibilities as a mother and working professional. She must decide whether to stay with Kyle, or if it’s time to move on and let go of her love affair.
In the end, Jackie learns that it’s never too late to find love, and that age doesn’t always define who you are.
