Synopsis – What to Expect from “Flight 93”
Flight 93 is a 2006 drama-thriller based on the events of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. The film follows the passengers and crew of United Airlines Flight 93, which was hijacked by terrorists and crashed in a field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania.
The movie begins with the passengers and crew of Flight 93 preparing for their flight from Newark to San Francisco. As the plane takes off, the passengers and crew are unaware of the events unfolding in the skies above them. Unknown to the passengers, four hijackers have boarded the plane and are planning to use it as a weapon against the United States.
As the hijackers take control of the aircraft, the passengers and crew realize what is happening and attempt to take back control of the plane. The passengers and crew make a desperate attempt to overpower the hijackers, but their efforts are unsuccessful. The hijackers then fly the plane to Washington, D.C., where they plan to crash it into the White House or the Capitol.
The passengers and crew of Flight 93, however, are determined to prevent this from happening and make a heroic last-ditch effort to regain control of the plane. The passengers and crew eventually manage to take back control of the plane and steer it away from Washington D.C., but the plane crashes in a field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania.
The movie ends with a tribute to the brave passengers and crew of Flight 93, who gave their lives to prevent
