Hulu Error Code P-DEV329 has troubled Roku users and those streaming Hulu on a web browser. In this post, we find out the root cause of PDEV319 and how to fix it on your own.

What Is Hulu Error Code P-DEV329?

Most users have complained about the Hulu Error Code P-DEV329 on Roku. However, the issue has also popped up on other platforms. We skimmed through the Hulu support center comments, evaluated customer support responses, and jotted down the probable causes behind this issue.

Outdated Browser

If you are using an outdated browser, Hulu won’t be able to render its content. Hulu uses different libraries while streaming content on the browser. So if your web browser is out of date, you will face loading issues while accessing Hulu libraries and encounter errors when you start streaming.

Outdated Hulu App/ Device Firmware

Hulu Error Code P-DEV329 can also arise from an outdated Hulu app or your device’s OS or firmware that doesn’t meet Hulu’s specifications.

Internet Bandwidth Issue

Hulu has a specific bandwidth requirement to access its content library and stream its content.

Depending on your plan (for 4K streaming) the bandwidth requirement is even higher. While streaming if Hulu services notice a dip in bandwidth it can prompt with the Hulu Error Code P-DEV329.

Blacklisted Hulu Apps

Hulu apps that are displayed on the platform are loaded along with other Hulu library items. If you have blacklisted Hulu apps somehow, the service won’t be able to render the ads on your screen and might pause subsequent streaming requests too, leaving you with the Hulu Error Code P-DEV329.

Server Issue

Server issues and ongoing deployments can also be the reason behind the Error Code P-DEV329.

If Hulu servers are under maintenance, they won’t be able to cater to your streaming requests while some patch upgrade is going on, and the system will show the error message instead.

How To Fix Hulu Error Code P-DEV329?

Check Your Internet Bandwidth

check your internet bandwidth

Having steady internet connectivity is one thing, but streaming Hulu has bandwidth criteria of its own. To easily navigate its platform you must have a minimum internet bandwidth of 3Mbps.

If you don’t have such a connection expect connectivity and loading issues. And that’s just while you are browsing through Hulu’s library. Streaming Live TV Hulu demands a bandwidth of 8 Mbps while 25 Mbps connectivity is required to stream content in 4K UHD. If you face connectivity and buffering issues check your internet speed.

Visit Speedtest to gauge your internet bandwidth. Just click Go, and find out the bandwidth provided by your ISP. If your connection meets Hulu streaming criteria but you are still getting connectivity issues, it’s better that you reset your router.

Simply switch off your Wifi router and then turn it back on. Perform a speed test once the router restarts. If the issue still persists contact your local Internet Service Provider.

Check the Status of Hulu Servers

check the status of hulu server

The only way to find out whether Hulu’s servers are down is by checking the trend of issues reported at Hulu. By looking at the volume of Hulu outage tickets and the time and date when they were reported, you can find out about the health of Hulu servers.

Online web-based tools like Downdetector, monitor such Hulu-related incidents and can provide a rough idea about any server downtimes. If there were issues reported regarding Hulu servers, though there’s nothing you can do, and you have to simply wait it out.

Or you can check out some other streaming platforms in the meantime. In case there were no server-related issues reported recently, then you can go ahead with other troubleshooting options and try to fix the error on your own.
