Synopsis/Plot
Fist Fight is a 2017 American comedy film directed by Richie Keen and written by Van Robichaux and Evan Susser. The film stars Charlie Day, Ice Cube, Tracy Morgan, Jillian Bell, Dean Norris, Christina Hendricks, and Dennis Haysbert.
The film follows Andy Campbell (Day), a mild-mannered high school English teacher who is faced with a challenge when he accidentally gets his much tougher and deeply feared colleague, Ron Strickland (Ice Cube), fired. When Strickland challenges him to an after-school fight, Campbell must find a way to avoid a beatdown or risk his reputation.
Fist Fight follows Campbell as he navigates the treacherous waters of high school politics and tries to keep his job while also trying to protect himself from Strickland. Along the way, he finds an unexpected ally in the school’s guidance counselor, Holly (Hendricks), and must rely on his own wits and courage to survive the day.
