Synopsis – What to Expect from “First Girl I Loved”
First Girl I Loved is a 2016 coming-of-age romantic drama about the struggles of teenage love.
The film follows Anne (Dylan Gelula), a 17-year-old high school student living in Los Angeles. She has a close group of friends, including the popular and outgoing Sasha (Brianna Hildebrand). Anne is content with her life, but she begins to feel something new and exciting when she meets the new girl at school, the beautiful and mysterious Sasha.
Anne falls hard for Sasha, and soon the two become inseparable. But when Anne’s best friend, the popular and outgoing Clifton (Mateo Arias), discovers Anne’s feelings, he is determined to keep the two apart. Clifton’s interference leads to a series of events that threaten to tear apart the group of friends, and Anne must decide if she is willing to risk everything for the chance at true love.
The film follows Anne as she navigates the complicated waters of teenage love, and ultimately learns to accept and embrace her true feelings. Along the way, she learns to stand up for herself and her beliefs, and to take risks in order to find true happiness.
